The Administrative Assistant II position is responsible for providing support services to the Undergraduate Academic Advising Center (UAAC) with a special emphasis on assisting the administrators from the Center. This position will directly report to the Director of UAAC, and may also provide support to the Professional Academic Advisors and Scheduler.
Specific responsibilities include: Provides assistance and customer service to students and other university administrators; Fulfills routine clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, office supply ordering, sorting/sending out mail, scheduling meetings, reserving rooms, filing, straightening up common area, etc; Assists with student record keeping in the advising center, obtaining student transcript evaluations from the Registrar s office, filing and maintaining academic records; Assists with implementation and scheduling of the FastForward orientation program, reserving rooms and equipment and scheduling students; Assists Director with reports and special projects to monitor and evaluate advising services; Contributes to overall organization and smooth functioning of UAAC as well as training and assisting with the supervision of student workers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of MS Office applications, Banner proficiency desirable. Associate's Degree or some college experience, 1-3 years previous experience.
