Associate Director of Financial Aid
Metropolitan College of New York seeks a highly skilled professional for its Student Financial Services Office with solid knowledge of Title IV and New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Major responsibilities include counseling and packaging students; authorizing aid, scholarships and institutional aid; assisting with federal reporting obligations to the Department of Education; collaborating with other departments and external agencies to access information and expedite processing; providing financial literacy to students and families; providing training to other student financial services staff. Minimum requirements include Bachelor s degree (Masters preferred) with 5 years of financial aid experience. Candidates must have strong customer service skills, pay strong attention to detail, and have a high level of judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office necessary and PowerFaids experience a big plus. Must be able to work autonomously and in team environments and possess good presentation skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population. Evening and weekend hours required.
