Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the following position: Disabilities Coordinator (Student Services Program Coordinator I).

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: assisting with the coordination and provision of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, including coordination of services for the athletic department. Position will work with both one-on-one, as well as with groups, to provide support, advocacy, and coaching specific to issues related to disability. The Coordinator will also assist with the collection of data and generation of reports regarding services under the supervision of the Director.

Requirements: Bachelor s degree (from a regionally accredited institution) in vocational rehabilitation, special education, educational psychology or closely related field (Master s degree is preferred) and at least two (2) years related experience. Successful candidate should also have: knowledge of ADA and Section 504 requirements and regulations including providing reasonable accommodations to students; knowledge of assistive technology; excellent interpersonal, communication, and administrative skills; and consultation skills. Competency with a culturally diverse population is preferred.
