MATHEMATICS INSTRUCTOR – Master’s Degree or higher in MATHEMATICS

Requirements:

MASTER’S DEGREE, or higher in MATHEMATICS, MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (with a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in Mathematics), or equivalent.

Experience in teaching developmental as well as upper level math courses (such as math for
elementary school teachers, calculus 1-3).

 

Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred.
 

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

Ability to teach and communicate mathematical concepts.

 

Demonstrated success teaching developmental level classes.

 

Skill and expertise using graphing calculators and Course Management Systems.

 

Skill and familiarity with distance learning.

 

Knowledge of study skills for learning mathematics and experience with implementation.

 

Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to assess learning outcomes.

Demonstrated interest in curriculum development.

Participation in recent professional training and development.

Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural diverse working environment.
