The Division of Academic Affairs is seeking an Executive Director for the Towson University Harford County Campus (TUHCC) located at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland. The Executive Director will be the lead university representative for program development and delivery in the northeastern region of Maryland; be responsible for the development of Towson’s expanded efforts in this region, leading efforts consistent with Towson University’s Metropolitan Mission; and pursue priorities that meet the educational needs of those impacted by the Base Realignment and Closure Act (BRAC),
Reporting directly to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Executive Director will have responsibilities both academic and administrative. The Executive Director will partner and collaborate with Towson University faculty and staff on this exciting initiative to develop comprehensive outreach programs and projects through instruction, research, and technical assistance that will contribute productively to regional economic growth and development in this important region of the State.
The Executive Director will also partner with University Marketing to conduct market research activities and assessments to determine needs for local, state, national, and international markets that result in programs, agreements, and services to local companies, associations, and state agencies. In addition, the Executive Director will manage and coordinate the day-to-day operation of TUHCC that includes serving as public relations representative and primary contact for program development, both credit and non-credit, strengthening the University’s service to the State of Maryland.
Requirements: Master’s degree and 5 years relevant experience that includes a demonstrated record of leadership and understanding of program development, marketing methods and client development, as well as success in oversight of administrative functions within education, business or government. Earned Doctorate preferred. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
