Job Description:
The Dean of Admissions at Framingham State College is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of new undergraduates. Specifically, the Dean:
- Develops and implements a comprehensive, multi-year undergraduate admissions plan consistent with established enrollment growth targets and enhanced institutional selectivity. She/he will establish ambitious goals for the following performance measures: number of applications and acceptances; SAT scores, grade point average and size of incoming freshmen class; and yield. She/he will work to increase diversity of the undergraduate applicant pool.
- Oversees all aspects of a strategic recruiting process, including interacting with high school personnel within the College's primary and secondary geo-markets, developing recruiting materials and schedules, and deploying personnel and resources to best achieve the College's recruiting goals.
- Directly supervises the work of the Assistant Dean for First Year Admissions, the Assistant Dean for Transfer Admissions, and the Coordinator of the College's application processing center; ensures an admissions operation consistent with ethical standards and state guidelines.
- Serves as a member of the President's Council and advises senior leadership as to new student enrollment, marketing, and recruiting strategies and outcomes.
Requirements:
Master's degree and 7 years' experience required; doctorate preferred.
