The employee in this administrative position performs a variety of duties with significant scope and complexity in the enrollment management operations for the university while providing leadership, strategic enrollment planning and oversight of student recruitment and admission. This position involves budgetary supervision and control and receives minimal supervision. Work is periodically reviewed by the supervisor for adherence to department/division goals and effectiveness of results. Develops and executes a comprehensive enrollment management and recruitment plan. Organizes and participates in special events or fairs sponsored by the university in order to attract and make contact with prospective students. Supervises the admission processing for entering students to include admission decisions and residency determinations.
Master's degree required. A minimum of five years experience in enrollment management, undergraduate admissions in higher education, and/or higher education administration required. Knowledge of principles and practices of enrollment management in a university setting. Knowledge of and experience in undergraduate admissions. Knowledge of the principles and practices of management, supervision and budget control. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to provide leadership to a team of professional, support and student staff.
