Function: The Dean for Math, Science, Engineering and Health Professions is responsible for providing academic and administrative leadership in matters related to the faculty, departments, and programs housed in the Division. The Dean is also responsible for the sound academic management of resources allocated to the Division including faculty, support staff, budget, equipment and facilities. The Dean maintains relations with the President, Vice Presidents, other deans, ECC Board members, the Foundation Board, Program Advisory Boards, ECC administrative and support staff, and partners in business, industry, the community, and other educational institutions. The Dean carries out her responsibilities under the direction of the Vice President.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree with at least 15 credit hours in one of the disciplines within the division. Four years of senior level administrative experience in higher education. Teaching experience in higher education. Knowledge of National and State-Wide issues related to divisional areas.

Desired Qualifications: Experience in a collective bargaining environment. Commitment to a Multicultural and Diverse Environment. Extensive experience developing and managing a budget. Ability to build external partnerships. Proven skills in developing a vision and implementing its details. Successful grant writing ability. Proven success in facilities planning and thinking strategically. Demonstrated respect for faculty and staff, the teaching/learning process, and evaluation process. Team building and excellent communication skills. Strong understanding of student learning and assessment processes. Demonstrated success serving as an advocate for a department and its faculty in a large organization.
