Process Operations Technology Instructor

Plan, manage and teach courses in a newly formed two year, associate degree, Process Operations Technology program. Participate in curriculum development, outcome assessment, advisory council activities, and other department or college activities. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 8 years full-time recent experience in process operations in a refining, manufacturing, bio-processing or power plant operation required. Teaching/training experience and/or an Associate s degree in a related field preferred. Knowledge, skills and ability to develop and teach coursework and laboratory exercises in topics such as instrumentation, controls, piping diagrams, boilers and pressure vessels, process fundamentals, process dynamics, pumps and electrical/mechanical fundamentals. Ability and willingness to manage complex tasks, such as facility scheduling, class scheduling, industry outreach and interaction, program promotion and outreach. The primary location for this program will be Blair, Nebraska but will require frequent travel to other campus and industry locations for college activities. May involve day, evening and/or weekend duties. Hiring process includes a background check Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors budget approval.
