Vice President of Finance and College Operations

Position Summary:
Under the administrative direction of the President, the Vice President of Finance and College Operations serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the College and administers all aspects of financial services, College operations, and initiatives in a learning-centered college. This position provides leadership in the areas of: human resources, information services (including educational delivery systems), facilities, financial aid, Nicolet Foundation, business services (including the Bookstore and Food Services), and WTCS certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Support and promote the initiatives of a learning-centered College.
2.Provide leadership, direction and oversight of human resources, legal issues, risk and loss management, information services (including educational delivery systems), facilities, building projects, financial aid, Nicolet Foundation, business services (including the Bookstore and Food Services), and WTCS certification.
3.Participate in the development and implementation of the College strategic initiatives.
4.Research and analyze data to inform decision making.
5.Prepare long-range financial forecasts for the College to provide a framework for decision-making and to insure long-term financial stability.
6.Direct and coordinate the administrative procedures and processes relative to the borrowing of funds and debt service plans.
7.Ensure appropriate coordination of College wide information services.
8.Coordinate College wide annual budget development process.
9.Monitor College wide processes to ensure fiduciary and fiscal compliance.
10.Manage the administrative and support staff in a collaborative and team based environment.
11.Promote continuous improvement throughout all programs and services.
12.Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of financial budgeting and management and its relationship to College operations.
Knowledge of technology and its relationship to College strategic goals.
Knowledge of the principles of quality management and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with educators, leadership, staff, students, and the public.
Ability to establish and meet goals and objectives.
Ability to interpret legislative and statutory regulations.
Ability to provide administrative leadership within the College and throughout the District.
Oversight of information systems.

Qualifications:
Master s degree in a relevant area is required; a Ph.D., Ed.D., M.B.A. or a J.D. is preferred. Seven to ten years of progressive administration and leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibilities preferably in a higher education institution.
