The University College at Virginia Commonwealth University seeks to hire multiple full-time non-tenure track faculty on renewable appointments beginning in August 16, 2010. Teaching responsibilities will consist of four classes per semester, and will include courses in composition, advanced writing, and literature.

Masters degree required; Terminal degree desirable. At least three years’ experience teaching composition and some experience teaching or assisting with large lecture classes preferred. The ideal candidate must show demonstrated excellence in teaching, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Applicants should have a strong interest in the scholarship of teaching and learning and a commitment to working collaboratively. This position is contingent upon funding.
