Digital Media Specialist (16109)

General Summary:
The Digital Media Specialist will assist the Public Relations and Communications department in capturing important University activities and events through photographs and video for a variety of uses, including the timely posting of such events to the President s and Public Relations website.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support and leadership for all aspects of multimedia productions for the aforementioned websites and Media Relations needs.
Capture and edit photographs, videos, podcasts, and other digital media from University events.
Work to organize a University-wide multi-media catalog and increase usage for same.
Increase the amount and quality of PR and Communications multimedia content to feature in various areas, utilizing a variety of source materials.
Act as a liaison to the Enrollment Management & Marketing, Athletics and Information Services to support the department s goals and objectives.
Manage vendors as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Digital / Interactive Media or a related field, or equivalent combination of certification and experience.
5 - 7 years increasingly responsible experience in media/public relations in a dynamic business environment.
Excellent creative, photographic and videographic abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.
Occasional travel (domestic and international).

3 - 5 years experience in multimedia production.
Experience in project management.
