Selection, Training and Development Specialist

The University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applicants for the position of Selection, Training and Development Specialist. Responsibilities include overseeing program development and providing departmental leadership in the areas of recruitment, selection, training and evaluation processes for full-time staff, graduate and student staff employees. This position conducts needs assessment, evaluates activities and directs the development of a comprehensive program intended to meet departmental and staff developmental needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master s Degree in a related field such as student development, higher education, or counseling plus 2 years professional experience with recruitment, selection, training or development. Understanding of the comprehensive role of selection, training and development in successful community development in a residence hall system. Proven expertise in the development of students and student leaders and experience in relating effectively to diverse populations. Leadership ability in organizational development; proficient and practiced in the goals of Student Affairs organizations.


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $42,300-52,900 NORMAL STARTING SALARY: $42,300-47,600
