Lecturer in Graphic Design


The art department at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington invites applications for a nine month contingent faculty lecturer position with duties to begin fall 2010.

Employment Period: September 1, 2010 May 31, 2011. Teaching load is 21 credits (three courses in the fall, one in Jan-term, and three in spring).

Teaching responsibilities include introductory and advanced graphic design and/or digital photography courses. Potential courses include: Introduction to Photoshop and Illustrator, Digital Imaging, Typography, Web Design, and Digital Photography.

Qualifications: M.F.A. desirable; bachelors degree in art or related discipline required; demonstrated experience/interest in college-level teaching; be supportive of the educational mission of Whitworth as a Christian liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Background check required.
