VICE PRESIDENT FOR INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
Austin College, a nationally recognized independent liberal arts college in Sherman, Texas with a new president and ambitious plans for the future is seeking an innovative advancement leader with a successful record of strategic fundraising.
The Vice President, who reports directly to the President, is a member of a collaborative management team and will work closely with the Board of Trustees and its Institutional Advancement Committee. This key leadership position will provide extraordinary vision, strategic direction, and entrepreneurial management for the Division of Institutional Advancement (Development, Alumni and Parent Relations, and College Relations). The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the impact of his/her strategic leadership with respect to strengthening comprehensive institutional advancement programs, planning and implementing major fund-raising campaigns and promoting recognition of institutional achievements through effective communications and marketing.
Founded in 1849, and related by covenant to the Presbyterian Church (USA), Austin College is recognized nationally for academic excellence in the areas of pre-professional programs, leadership studies, and international education. With an accomplished Institutional Advancement Division of 33 positions, Austin College seeks a Vice President with a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible advancement experience, preferably in higher education. In addition, the successful candidate should have significant knowledge of all advancement disciplines (development, alumni and parent relations, marketing and communications).
