Job Description: The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, seeks a Nephrologist to join our group at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, with a tenure track or fixed-term appointment. The Division is actively involved in the training of medical students, residents and nephrology fellows. This position will be involved with clinical activities in the outpatient clinic and Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Research opportunities exist. Pitt County Memorial Hospital is the tertiary referral center for University Health Systems of Eastern North Carolina, a regional health center network serving 20 counties.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center (formerly Pitt County Memorial Hospital). Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.

Candidates should demonstrate initiative with strong clinical, teaching and interpersonal skills.


Minimum Qualifications: Medical Degree from an appropriately accredited institution.
