Job Description: The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is seeking a Director to lead its clinical simulation and patient safety center. This is a ground-floor opportunity to work with a multi-disciplined team of clinicians and educators to design a new center, lead its development, and coordinate its education and research functions. A creative, hands-on, collaborative educator/administrator will be required to use pledged support and new resources to build upon the existing foundation and create a state-of-the art facility and programs for educating medical students, resident physicians, multi-disciplined care teams, and other health care professionals. He/she will be eligible for a faculty appointment (fixed term or tenure track) within the Department of Emergency Medicine. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Pitt County Memorial Hospital. PCMH is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.


Minimum Qualifications: The successful applicant will be an experienced educator with programmatic responsibility who has used simulation as an education platform. An appropriate terminal degree is required.
