Portland State University (PSU) is the largest and most diverse university in Oregon. Our urban campus is integrated into the heart of the city but is only minutes away from the outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest. PSU seeks to have diversity in all facets of its enterprise, and the CEE Department is committed to this vision. PSU has been ranked among the top 10 “most innovative” national universities by U.S. News & World Report in its Best Colleges 2017 rankings. The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department’s 25 faculty, instructors, and researchers contribute to this innovative culture. Our research expenditures exceed $3 million per year. We offer ABET-accredited B.S. degrees in both Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering along with graduate programs at the master’s and doctoral levels; these programs currently serve over 430 undergraduates and 80 graduate students.
